06 December: Guideline for participation in the voluntary agreement “Reduction of food waste in the out-of-home sector”

With regard to the achievement of the German National Strategy for Food Waste Reduction, dialogue forums for different stages of the supply chain were established. The dialogue forum for out-from-home consumption published a voluntary agreement for caterers on reducing food waste. Based on this, the Institute for sustainable nutrition published a guideline that specifies the voluntary agreement for the school catering setting. This guideline leads participants working in school catering through the necessary steps to fulfil the agreement.
